La Nuit de la patage
Une coproduction du Théâtre Magasin et des Boréades de Montréal
C’est les vacances. Les parasols poussent, les mouches vrombissent et le parfum des frites flotte sur la plage du lac Bellevue. Le Roi de la patate attend sa clientèle. Or voilà qu’un étrange vacancier s’installe dans le petit chalet d’en face pour y écrire une histoire. Des profondeurs du lac émerge alors une île fantôme où règne le Roi de la nuit, grand amateur de cailloux, de frites, et de chansons d’été. Il réclame au Roi de la patate une frite, à minuit. Quelle folie!
La Nuit de la patate conjugue avec humour théâtre et performance musicale. Sur scène, un espace enclos abrite un dispositif bi-frontal où les spectateurs prennent place d’un côté et de l’autre du lac Bellevue. Avec flûtes et accordéons Joël da Silva et Francis Colpron plongent les enfants dans une atmosphère bruissante de grenouilles et de poésie.
